Welcome to Ridevy. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service") operated by Ridevy ("we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Ridevy app, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.
2. Description of Service
Ridevy is a public transport application that provides:
- Real-time arrival information for buses, trains, and other public transport in the UK
- Journey planning and route suggestions
- Service status updates and disruption alerts
- Navigation assistance and "get off" alerts
- Favourite stops, routes, and trips management
3. Account Registration
To access certain features of our Service, you may need to create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information during registration
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Promptly notify us of any unauthorised use of your account
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
4. Subscription and Payments
4.1 Free and Premium Features
Ridevy offers both free features and premium subscription plans. Premium features are available through:
- Weekly Subscription: £7.99 per week (with optional 3-day free trial)
- Yearly Subscription: £39.99 per year
4.2 Billing
Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
4.3 Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds will be provided for partial subscription periods.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission
- Use automated systems to access the Service
- Reverse engineer or decompile the application
6. Transit Data Disclaimer
Important: While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date transit information, Ridevy relies on third-party data sources including Transport for London (TfL) and other transport operators. We cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this information.
- Real-time data may be delayed or unavailable
- Service disruptions may not be reflected immediately
- Journey times are estimates only
- Always check official sources for critical journey decisions
Ridevy is not affiliated with Transport for London (TfL), National Rail, or any transport operator.
7. Location Services
Certain features require access to your device's location. You can control location permissions in your device settings. Without location access, some features (such as nearby stops and navigation) will not function.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its content, features, and functionality, is owned by Ridevy and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
- We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- We are not responsible for missed connections, delays, or travel disruptions
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the past 12 months
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ridevy and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
12. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
